Overview

When two cloud powerhouses – Ancoris and Sundown Solutions – decided to merge, the ambition was clear: to create a new leader in multi-cloud consulting and engineering. Ancoris brought with it a formidable reputation in delivering advanced Google Cloud solutions and spearheading digital transformation for enterprise giants. Sundown Solutions, meanwhile, had carved out a stronghold in the Microsoft and Azure ecosystem, particularly within the public sector and large-scale enterprise environments. A match made in heaven.

The newly unified leadership team recognised that this wasn’t just a merger of services, it was the birth of something entirely new. To bring this vision to life, they turned to The Rubicon Agency, tasking us with developing a brand identity, message architecture, and visual language that could encapsulate the combined strength and future ambition of the new entity. The challenge? Deliver it all within a matter of weeks, under the watchful eye of private equity stakeholders and a ticking clock. No mean feat.

What we delivered

The Rubicon Agency began with a series of intensive discovery and alignment workshops, engaging both leadership teams to uncover the shared values, aspirations, and differentiators that would define the new brand. From this foundation, a name emerged: Telana. Drawing on Celtic roots, the name evokes a sense of place “where magic is made”- a poetic nod to the transformative potential of applied AI and machine learning that both legacy brands had already begun to harness.

Visually, the brand was designed to be clean, modern, and quietly clever. The logo features a subtle forward slash through the ‘n’ in Telana, a respectful wink to the software engineering heritage of both Ancoris and Sundown. This was paired with a bold message totem: “Experts in applied innovation”, a phrase that would become the cornerstone of Telana’s positioning in the market of Applied Intelligence.

The visual identity was crafted to be vivid and fresh, designed not only to stand out but to spotlight Telana’s portfolio of services and success stories. Alongside the brand identity, The Rubicon Agency delivered a comprehensive suite of assets, including a new website, launch communications, blog content, and social media posts. This ensured the brand didn’t just launch – but landed with impact.

What did the campaign achieve?

From agency selection to full brand launch, the entire project was completed in just 60 days. Multiple workstreams ran in parallel, each moving at pace to meet the aggressive timeline. The result was a seamless transition to the Telana brand, with customers immediately recognising and resonating with its promise: Experts in applied innovation.

This was followed with an extensive workload of additional content for both brands to migrate to the new brand.
