WorkBuzz are leaders in employee listening platforms, with a market focus on businesses with large frontline staff numbers that often lack access to corporate devices.

With a combination of technology and People Science solutions, they help businesses to ‘really’ understand how the workforce feel. This is crucial for successful talent retention, recruitment, culture and business improvement programmes.

With a largely European customer base, WorkBuzz wanted to support expansion to the US with a fanfare launch at a leading HR technology event. The Rubicon Agency was approached to develop the presence and audience experience to support the launch.

What we delivered

Building a relevance between employee listening platforms, workforce improvements and the role of the event attendee (senior culture, HR and operations professionals) was going to be key for success. It was recognised that an engaging, educational experience was key to orientate the audience on the multiple agendas that can be addressed with listening platforms.

The Rubicon Agency created an augmented reality app experience. This encouraged the audience to share their top priority from a list of ‘Agent of Change’ personas that most reflected their role. Then, through a gamified experience, they were encouraged to share their persona through personal, event and industry social channels – whilst also sharing contact information.

The experience formed part of a physical stand design, merchandise and supporting social communications through event and industry channels – in addition to an audience voting experience at WorkBuzz partner and customer events.

What did the campaign achieve?

The multi-format nature of the design approach proved immersive at the various events – accelerating many conversations and capturing contact data simultaneously. The ability to fuel social channels with differentiated, user generated content proved popular too. Likewise, the lite, software-based nature of the solution allows easy, cost-effective re-factoring for future campaigns and applications.
